I have long been a passionate health care activist. I have now finished my medical memoir, ELLEN IN MEDICALAND:TRUE STORIES OF HOW I FELL DOWN MEDICINE'S BLACK HOLE AND STILL LIVED AFTER ALL, which is on Kindle and is a WOW! Ellen In Medicaland tells of my off-the-wall,crazy experiences at a Harvard-teaching hospital as a patient and my Mom's caregiver. If these stories were fiction, you would say that these things could never happen. But, they did - to me and my Mom. So, grab a cup of coffee - or a stiff drink - and come with me on a wild medical ride. You will be thinking about my stories long after you finish Ellen In Medicaland.
Also, as of June 15th, I am bringing back my public access tv series, Your Health Care:Choice or Chance?, which I began in 1995, and stopped in 2008 to write Ellen In Medicaland. My premiere guest is Sandy Eaton, R.N, The King of Health Reform. Sandy and I will discuss our Twilight Zone health system. He is truly in the know since he is an important part of just about every group that is trying to get Single Payer passed in the U.S. YHC will in Massachusetts communities, as well as on my website, www.tvyourhealthcare.org. (Some of the towns so far are Mashpee, Sandwich, Barnstable County. I shall keep you posted on the others.)
And, by Friday you will be able to listen to my 30-minute interview with Rick Heneghan, Host of Common Sense HD. He and I discuss ELLEN IN MEDICALAND and you can listen to it at www.tvyourhealthcare.org.
