Premed Network

I am slated to teach a newly approved online course (scheduled for Spring 11 with a start date of March 18) on the subject of Literature & Medicine and a specific focus on crafting illness narratives. The medical narrative is indeed changing and moving away from the evidence based medical model. My question is since many of you are taking science courses, how many are also taking courses in the humanities, especially literature? How many of you think that a better understanding of narratives will help you become a better doctor or health professional? If any of you are interested in learning more about my upper level UNIV 330 Literature & Medicine course, please let me know.

Thanks.
