Hello Navi. Sergio here! haha, thanks for the add and comment. I really want to do the Peace Corp SO bad but I don't want to post pone med school and it's entire process! ah. So I am guessing you are in med school already?
I had an interesting realization today - very few people truly understand the value of networks. I'll be sending a message to the members about my thoughts on this.
Glad to see you taking a leadership role in the community. It's my hope that people not only get to know premeds at their University but at other Universities as well. Our world is getting smaller!
I just wanted to let you know that the following members are also from University of San Francisco. I just wanted to make the introduction in case you didn’t already know them.
• Mansi Panchal
• Yana Reznik
• Alice Wong
• Usha Mulvaney
• Mary Lansangan
• Aida Martinez
Also, it would be great if you guys join the group for your University. If there isn’t one, then it just takes a couple of minutes to create it. Hope to see someone take the lead in doing this.
Connections and relationships matter for succeeding. Some of the relationships you develop could last a lifetime.
I hope your summer is going well. I just wanted to update you on some things.
There has been a lot of growth at PremedNetwork.com. Members from Universities throughout the US have joined, including premed students from Harvard, Stanford, and others. Right now the focus has been on Universities in the US. However, over time I see the site opening up to premed students from all over the world.
It is likely there are premeds from your University who are already members. If you haven’t already joined a group for your University, I suggest you do so and connect with your classmates. If you don’t see a group for your University, just create one. It’s easy and just takes a couple of minutes.
Thus far hundreds of internship, research, volunteer and clinical opportunities have been posted, including some by Dr. Keith Bradley (one of the Featured Members). Over the summer we expect to add several hundred more internship, research, volunteer and clinical opportunities.
In the coming weeks we plan to feature a couple of Harvard surgeons. They will provide the community with career advice, especially for the MCAT.
I’m excited about the free MCAT Program trial Ben Williams (one of the Featured Members) is offering our members. The program was developed by Harvard MDs. See his posts for details:
I hope PremedNetwork.com can connect premeds within the same school as well as between other schools. I believe as the site grows it will take on the concept of the wisdom of the crowds whereby people share relevant information, develop connections and further their premed careers.
I would really appreciate it if you could spread the word about the site, particularly to those at your school. It would be amazing to have the majority of premed students from each University in the community. As new connections develop, everyone benefits.
You can invite people easily to PremedNetwork.com simply by clicking on the “Invite” tab at the top.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to serve the members better.

Wow! I'm impressed to see that 27 people have joined the USF group you created. It's a testament to your people skills :)
