"Thank you so much Nikki for the information. It was helpful and I will be contacting them. I stay closer to the Newport News area but they might be able to direct me to something closer. Thank you and GOD bless!!!"
"It is very important to take Bio Chemistry along with Cell and Mollecular biology. Some Medical Schools are taking away a semester of G Chem and Organic in substitution for these courses. Not only will Bio Chem and Cell/Mol Bio prepare you for the…"
"Greetings to all!!! Omar Baig how are you doing? I just wanted to know about possible shadowing opportunities in the state of Virginia? By the way I think its wonderul that you have created this network, its extremely valuable."
Greetings to all!!! My name is Steven Charles Loud and currently I attend Hampton University as a graduate student. I am working on my Master’s Degree in Medical Science and in strong preparation for “The Big Sha Bang” formally known as the MCAT. I want to peruse medicine to help fight the ongoing struggle to save lives and promote a healthier well being for mankind. I have an interest in anesthesia but all aspects of medicine are astonishing to me. I have yet to finally lock down my decision on my specialty and I’m learning new things about medicine every day. I recently have found an interest in Osteopathic Medicine because of the natural healing. Again, I have not made a final decision on anything and would LOVE to explore any possible research, shadowing, summer enhancement programs to gear me in the best direction for my personality and passion. One day I will make it into the M.D. or D.O. promise land….

You need to be a member of Premed Network to add comments!
The vision for PremedNetwork.com is to build a community for professional networking, collaborating, and learning for premeds.
Members tell me there is a lot of potential for the site and that we have a good blueprint. However it seems the biggest issue people have is “Ok, I’m on the site, now what?” LOL. I hear you.
The truth is that ultimately all I can do is provide “elegant organization.” How the community organizes, collaborates, and interacts is up to the members. So there is some degree of The Drunkard’s Walk (a mathematical term that connotates the role of randomness in life).
The coolest thing I’ve seen members do (and most innovative by the way) is to simply post in their status update what they are looking for (premed related, of course). Each time the member has received replies.
We have so many amazing people in the community: physicians, medical students, advisors, and premeds from all over the country. The collective wisdom is incredible.
I recommend members to post what they are looking for in their status update. Here’s to a great future!
